Katy Perry was spotted taking a photo of herself at the memorial to Winston Churchill at Westminster Abbey yesterday – just hours after she was mocked for not being able to find her seat – and later tripped on her heels outside.
The “California Gurls” singer, who will perform today at the coronation concert at Windsor Castle, took a quick snap of her feet as she stood on the stone dedicated to the wartime prime minister.
Dressed head-to-toe in lilac with a huge headpiece and Vivienne Westwood choker, the singer was spotted taking selfies with guests at the historic abbey.
The photo of her feet standing on Churchill’s memorial was later published on Perry’s Instagram page, along with several snaps of the singer on the day of the coronation.

Her post also included a video of herself and Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, OBE saying ‘we’re here’ as they stood outside Westminster Abbey.
She said in the post’s caption, “It was such an honor to be able to see history made today at the coronation of King Charles III!
“I am grateful to be invited by the King on behalf of the @thebritishasiantrust and their Children Protect Fund, an organization I deeply believe in and have had the pleasure of supporting for the past 3 years.”
Earlier yesterday, Perry was caught by amused fans looking like a stray lamb searching far and wide for her seat.
Unable to see thanks to an impressive wizard, she was seen tilting her head and spinning in circles in a desperate search for her place.
She comically tweeted after the ceremony that her fans “don’t worry” when she found her seat and was later seen hobbling in her high white heels as she left the ceremony with other guests.
Alongside British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, the pop star was photographed at the Abbey yesterday morning.
It was also revealed that she would be staying at Windsor Castle last night before performing today alongside music legend Lionel Richie, as well as Take That, Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli and Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel.

The event, which will take place in the grounds of Windsor Castle, will take place in front of a crowd of 20,000 members of the public and invited guests and will be broadcast on BBC television and radio stations.
As a special honor for her performance, Katy is given an exclusive stay in the royal residence of the 1,000-year-old castle.
Perry said she is “very excited” for her “wild” sleepover at the royal residence.
“I’m really excited… I might be posting a lot because I’m really going to be in a castle. This is wild,” she said Additional television.
When asked about her invitation to the coronation, she said: ‘It was very royal. It was like a cursive I’ve never seen before [before]… I loved it.’

The 38-year-old paid tribute to Vivienne Westwood in her lilac outfit from the late designer.
She showed off her slim body in a sheath dress paired with a matching short-sleeved coat with a nipped-in waist and matching opera gloves.
She sported a huge saucer-style net purse, while wearing a Vivienne Westwood necklace and carrying her belongings in a white designer top-handle bag.
Perry arrived along with VIP guests who had lined up a mile since 6 a.m. to get one of the top 2,300 seats. The abbey was full just before 9am.
Stars taking their seats at the church included Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Fry, Nick Cave and magician Dynamo, while Dame Emma Thompson gave an excited thumbs up.
TV favorites Ant and Dec, along with Repair Shop star Jay Blades, also attended the service, which is expected to be seen by more than 100 million people around the world.
They watched as Charles was crowned in a Christian ceremony dating back 1,000 years on a day dripping with glorious pageantry.
It also cast a spotlight on Britain’s place on the world stage in the UK’s largest ceremonial military operation since Sir Winston Churchill’s state funeral in 1965 with 7,000 servicemen marching alongside the King and Queen.
