Two car enthusiasts have been identified after their Toyota Corolla crashed into a tree and burst into flames.

Mathew Wong, 23, and Kasia Kulary, 26, died in the crash on the Burnt Bridge Creek Deviation at Balgowlah on Sydney’s Northern Beaches at about 10.45pm on Wednesday.

The pair had come from a car meet in Mosman with the Car Culture Australia group, of which they were enthusiastic members, 9News reported.

Ms. Kulary’s Facebook cover photo shows her posing with a Lexus.

“Kasia was, and continues to be, the light of all our lives. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends,” her family said.
