- West Ham’s youth captain Gideon Kodua scored a stunning goal against Arsenal
- The 18-year-old took advantage of a defensive error to lob the Gunners goalkeeper
- His sensational chip gave West Ham the lead of the FA Youth Cup final
The FA Youth Cup final saw an outrageous goal as West Ham Under 18 captain Gideon Kodua lobbed the Arsenal goalkeeper from 35 yards out.
Kodua grabbed a misplaced pass from Gunners centre-back Josh Robinson, charged through on goal and looked up to see the goalkeeper off his line.
The 18-year-old then kept his cool under pressure from recovering defenders to produce a stunning chip that sailed over a running back Noah Cooper.
Kodua’s brilliant effort saw the visitors round off a dominant first half at the Emirates stadium, putting them firmly in control of the final 3-1 at half time.
But it was his attack that was the most impressive of the bunch after George Earthy and Callum Marshall previously scored for the Hammers.
