‘What! No women!’, one wrote.

Another went much further and said the photo made them sick.

“Absolutely disgraceful, misogyny. I feel sick, sick to the core, can’t breathe, the oxygen has been sucked out of the hardworking families,” they wrote.

Others took a more sarcastic view of the situation, with one writing ‘There’s some diversity there!’ and another uses it as an opportunity to attack the previous prime minister.

Morrison would have filled all three jobs. What a waste of money,” they said.

This was in reference to the revelation last August that Scott Morrison had been secretly sworn in for five ministerial portfolios while prime minister.

Other commentators suggested Wednesday’s appointments were a betrayal of the high moral foundation Labor should give to governing.

“I thought diversity was high on your agenda,” one said, while another pointed out that at least the five white men in the photo all had different tie patterns.

Others also used what the men were wearing to attack them, with one saying the photo was just “White dudes in suits” and another posting that “We celebrate our great Aussie diversity by promoting…white men in to take.’

Some people took the opportunity to berate the government in general.

“Labour has more ministers and assistant ministers than the coalition has ever had in its history,” one wrote.

“How much tax money is being spent on labor without regard to the Australian people or the national debt.”

Another managed to link the photo to the cost of living and their views on migration, writing, “Are you doing anything to address the housing crisis?

‘People are struggling to pay their mortgage and rent. You are out of touch with everyday Aussies. You must interrupt/reduce the migration immediately.”
