Phoebe Cates was the hot girl in the red bikini in Fast Time At Ridgemont High, see her now at 61

Phoebe Cates was the stunning dream girl every boy wanted to date in the 1982 teen film Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

The dark-haired, doe-eyed star became known for her stunning figure as she lounged by a pool in a red bikini.

After enjoying years of Hollywood fame with hits like Gremlins, she took a break in the 1990s.

And she enjoyed a happy marriage to Kevin Kline, a very busy actor who starred in A Fish Called Wanda and De-Lovely.

The dark-haired star is now 61 years old.

And Cates is still a beauty, as she proved again on Sunday during a rare sighting in New York City.

The stunner was bundled up for her day out in Manhattan as temperatures plummet in early winter.

She wore a long black winter coat with beige lining over a black dress with a dark blue scarf tied at the front near her neck.

The Hollywood veteran also wore wild-looking green and gray argyle socks with woven slip-on shoes for an unusual style.

The cute girl next door wore her black hair just as she had flattering makeup.

Cates looked much younger than her 61 years.

And she was a little hard to spot.

Phoebe pulled a cart that was black and blue. She was on the Upper East Side of New York when she headed to a store.

In October, Cates and Kline spoke about their long-term marriage.

Both have acknowledged that being together since the 1980s and staying together today is very rare.

Kevin, 77, and Phoebe met at an audition in 1982. They married seven years later.

Now Kevin believes that living in New York, away from the Los Angeles movie scene, has kept their marriage strong.

He told Business Insider this year: “If your marriage lasts more than six months, if you’re a Hollywood marriage, you’re already in the Guinness Book of World Records.”

Kevin said he and Phoebe aren’t having a Hollywood wedding because they don’t consider themselves celebrities and they don’t live in LA.

He added, “That’s why you don’t see Botox. These are my lips, what’s left of them.’

He then praised his wife, saying, “She has her head on her shoulders, unlike me. I usually rest my head on her shoulders too.

“She’s a great wife, a great mother, a great person, and she keeps me honest. Except in interviews.’

Kevin and Phoebe have son Owen, born in 1991, and daughter Greta, born in 1994, whom they raised in New York.

She retired from film acting in the 1990s, aside from her performance in 2001’s “The Anniversary Party,” which was written and directed by her best friend and “Fast Times” co-star Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Kevin made his film debut in Sophie’s Choice after making the transition from stage to film.

In 1989 he won an Oscar for A Fish Called Wanda.
