Phoebe Burgess has revealed that she buys herself her own Mother’s Day gifts.

The former NRL WAG shares two children, Poppy, six, and Billy, four, with ex-husband Sam Burgess.

Phoebe, 34, took to Instagram this Sunday ahead of Mother’s Day to tell her followers that the “perk” of buying her own presents for the special day is that she gets to choose them.

She posted a montage of photos of herself and her two children playing outside on a bench.

The mum-of-two captioned the post: “I’ve discovered a huge advantage of buying your own Mother’s Day gifts (*for your babies to give you on MD, of course) and that is – obviously – you get to choose if you use them , you can avoid feigned excitement in favor of real excitement because, well, you can use them.’

She added, “Amidst the chaos, it’s the simplest moments with these two that sustain me.”

The journalist turned influencer married South Sydney Rabbitohs star Sam Burgess in 2015.

They separated for the second and final time in October 2019 and later divorced.

Appearing on SAS Australia in 2021, Sam confessed to being unfaithful to Phoebe before, adding that he knew he had “embarrassed” her throughout their four-year marriage.

Speaking on her Under the Gloss podcast last month, Phoebe opened up about her breakup with Sam, saying that her two children saved her during their rocky breakup.
