The younger lover at the heart of the furore landed roles alongside Phillip Schofield in five ITV shows over five years.
The revelation raises new questions about how much ITV bosses knew about the pair’s connections.
Schofield appears to have acted as a mentor to the young man, who is 35 years his junior, before committing to the relationship.
ITV has said both men denied any romance when questioned about it.
Channel boss Dame Carolyn McCall has confirmed that the young man gained work experience on This Morning at the age of 19 before landing jobs at 20 shows.

His first ITV job was in January 2016 when he worked as a runner on another top show. Three months later, he joined This Morning as a runner.
Within a month he was added to the This Morning Live team.
As well as working on three other ITV shows with Schofield, he achieved a promotion on This Morning in April 2017.
The staff were also asked to help create a showreel for him, which sources say was “a favor to Phillip.”
