Phil Collins’ ex-wife Orianne Cevey paid an emotional tribute to the singer in a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday.
The 50-year-old divorced the Genesis star, 73, with whom she shares sons Nicholas, 22, and Matthew, 18, in 2008 after nine years of marriage in an acrimonious split that saw her receive a $47 million settlement.
Orianne was also evicted from Phil’s Miami mansion in a protracted battle after refusing to leave the property with her new husband, male escort Thomas Bates, 34.
But to keep their relationship civil, Orianne spoke publicly about her ex-husband, calling him “the best dad ever” to their children, in a lengthy Father’s Day post.
As well as a slew of snaps of Phil and his sons, Orianne also shared a smiley throwback photo of them together.

She captioned the post: “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, but especially for being the best dad ever to my kids. Thank you for the beautiful and talented sons we have together and HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM ME’
Orianne reportedly left Phil blindsided by moving Tom, who she has since divorced, into the palatial pad to watch their secret wedding in Las Vegas.
She even hired security guards to keep the rocker out of his own home.
During the divorce, Orianne further alleged that the singer lost his musical talents and began abusing painkillers, according to TMZ, and that he refused to shower for almost a year between 2019 and 2020.
He said he began to smell and his stench became so pervasive that he became a recluse and refused to interact with people personally.
Phil finally got Orianne and her new husband evicted from the lavish mansion before things finally fell apart for the duo.
In December 2021, she announced the divorce, blaming the pandemic for their failed marriage.
DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Cevey picked up Bates from a male escort site where he advertised himself as a ‘sexy intellectual’, with degrees in philosophy and political science.

But once she moved him into Phil’s mansion, their fiery relationship saw her physically assault her new husband ‘several times’ – once threatening to cut off his ‘private parts’, according to his divorce documents.
He also claims he received the alleged threat to cut off his genitals after returning to the couple’s new Fort Lauderdale mansion after spending Thanksgiving 2021 with his parents at their home in nearby Lighthouse Point.
He arrived to find that Orianne had ‘secretly’ removed his clothes and other belongings and he asked for them back.
“The woman, who has a fierce temper, threatened her husband with bodily harm (by cutting off his genitals) when he asked for his clothes and personal belongings,” his file said.
“The woman, who holds a 3rd degree black belt and is trained in boxing, physically abused her husband on several occasions prior to the divorce. On one occasion, the husband had to shout for the housekeeper to help him leave the house to avoid his wife’s abuse.
“The husband voluntarily left the marital home for his safety.”
Bates was on the books of a company called Cowboys 4 Angels, under the name Ryan, while in Los Angeles, after moving from Florida to try to make it in the music business.
However, he returned to his home state when things did not go as planned. It is understood the couple had their first meeting at an exclusive five-star hotel in Miami Beach.
