Petra Ecclestone and husband Sam Palmer could be set to finally sell their £175M London home

They announced the decision in October to sell their £175 million Chelsea home.

And Petra Ecclestone and her real estate agent husband Sam Palmer would finally be ready to see the property go — as the latter sees the pound’s plunge against the dollar as a win for the couple.

‘A great time to buy in the UK for Americans,’ the broker, 38, beeped online as he hinted at a financial win for himself and the 33-year-old F1 heiress.

The pound is currently at a 37-year low against the dollar, making their Chelsea mansion much more attractive to buyers on the other side of the pond.

Petra and Sam, who married in July, are selling their home ‘off-market’ – posting a revealing ten-minute video of the home last year produced by Architectural Digest.

The virtual tour offered potential buyers the ultimate Through The Keyhole-esque tour of their landmark Georgian home, which has been transformed into a palace of gold and crystal.

Bernie Ecclestone’s youngest daughter says, “This project took me five years to complete and it’s a house I absolutely adore.”

The video also shows a 150,000-piece crystal chandelier and Petra’s huge dressing room.

The family spent the lockdown in the eight-bedroom, 12-bath, 20,000-square-foot home, which has some unhappy memories for Petra, when she shared it with ex-husband James Stunt.

Sam is a real estate agent at the Beverly Hills-based luxury real estate company Hilton & Hyland – which deals with a range of no-cost townhouses.

The former car salesman met socialite Petra in late 2017 through her brother-in-law Jay Rutland, who is married to her sister Tamara.

The couple tied the knot earlier this year at a lavish ceremony in London, which was celebrated at Chelsea’s home called Sloane House.

Petra shares Lavinia, nine, and twins James Robert Fredrick Jr and Andrew Kulbir, seven, with her ex James, while she and Sam are parents to daughter Millie, two.
