In a statement from Food Standards, the agency said the recall was due to the presence of an undeclared allergen.

“Any consumer with a milk allergy or intolerance may experience an adverse reaction if the product is consumed,” the agency said.

‘Consumers with a milk allergy or intolerance should not consume this product.

“Consumers must return the empty container to the place of purchase for a full refund.”

According to the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, more than one in fifty babies is allergic to cow’s milk.

Although most children outgrow this allergy by the age of five, in some people it can persist into adulthood.
