Peter Schmeichel has criticized one Manchester United player for his involvement in Brentford’s equalizer.
Erik ten Hag’s men were held to a 1-1 draw by the Bees after a defender Kristoffer Ajer’s strike in the 99th minute at Gtech Community Stadium.
The defender’s goal came just three minutes after Mason Mount opened the scoring for his first goal in United colours
And Schmeichel was not impressed with Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s role in the equalizer.
“Ivan Toney would have been offside if he had followed the back four formation and then that goal wouldn’t have happened,” the former goalkeeper said.

The draw in West London dealt United’s hopes of securing Champions League football a huge blow.

Unai Emery’s side have perhaps their toughest test in midweek with an away match at Manchester City, while Spurs travel to local rivals West Ham and Man United travel to the capital to take on Chelsea.

Despite the loss of points, Ten Hag believes that his team can still reach the Champions League next season.
“We will keep fighting,” the United boss said. ‘It could end up being a very good point. There are still many matches to go, but in the end the points will of course be more expensive. It should have been three, but now that it’s only one, we’ll know how it can work out in the end, but it could be a big deal in the end.”
