Brighton welcomed Wolves to the Amex Stadium on Monday evening, but a heart-warming moment followed in the run-up to the match.
During TNT Sport’s pre-match coverage, a referee steward was seen proposing to his partner in the tunnel.
As the feed switched to footage of the moment, Lindsay Hipgrave told TNT Sports: “Such a family feeling here and there was a special moment before when we came to the ground here at the Amex.”
The man was seen dropping to one knee before asking the question to a lady, who was apparently a member of newsroom security in Brighton.
Members of Brighton’s backroom staff stood by and appeared caught off guard at the time.

They were then seen clapping the pair after the pair embraced in a hug, with Hipgrave adding: “From seagulls to lovebirds.”
Steve Sidwell, who was on the pundit with Peter Crouch, said: ‘She looks quite surprised,’ to which the former Liverpool striker jokingly responded: ‘Yes, she’s thinking: ‘In the tunnel, really? here”‘.
Hipgrave added: “I assume they met there while working together.”
Sidwell said to Crouch, “How would that have gone with Abby (Clancy)?”
‘She doesn’t like football as much as this lady, I’m sure. She would have punched me,’ Crouch replied jovially.
Nevertheless, Crouch added: “Nice moment.”
Brighton will look to end Wolves’ three-match winning streak in the Premier League tonight.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side have won just once in their last five Premier League matches but are unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions.
Speaking about Brighton, Crouch added before the match that there is a lot to celebrate at the club in terms of football, following their qualification for European football last season and their impressive performances in the Europa League this season.
“I think Brighton is a club you might look at if you’re someone like Wolves and talk to the fans; they are so excited about what the club has achieved in recent years.
‘When they entered Europe last year, they pinched themselves. They almost went bankrupt, as some fans said.
‘But Wolves feel like a club going in the right direction under Gary O’Neil and we’ll see where they are today.’
