Pete Evans looks scruffy in camouflage pants as he steps out in Bondi

Ready for the apocalypse? Straight-haired conspiracy theorist Pete Evans looks scruffy in camouflage pants when he steps out in Bondi.

He recently debuted a wild Viking-inspired haircut after disappearing from public life and starting his own ‘fasting retreat’ at a remote Byron Bay resort.

And Pete Evans embraced his off-grid style on Wednesday when he stepped out in Sydney’s eastern suburbs in camouflage cargo pants and an army green shirt.

The disgraced celebrity chef and conspiracy theorist, 50, channeled his inner doomsday readiness as he walked down a Bondi street wearing well-worn leather boots, military-style sunglasses and a hiking backpack.

Evans’s smooth-cropped lock was sticking out from under his gray baseball cap, which featured the logo for his wellness brand Evolve.

Looking worlds away from his days as a clean-cut TV star, the former My Kitchen Rules host completed his look with a scruffy salt and pepper beard.

Evans, who splits his time living between Bondi and Byron Bay, has all but faded into obscurity in recent years following a series of controversies stemming from his belief in anti-vaccine conspiracy theories.

In May 2020, it was announced that Evans had parted ways with Channel Seven after 10 years as a judge on MKR alongside Manu Feildel.

It effectively marked his break from the mainstream after years of flirting with outlandish ideas during his network tenure.

Now free from the contractual restrictions of conventional network television, Evans began expressing his unscientific beliefs about vaccines and the covid-19 pandemic on social media.

Evans was banned from Facebook for sharing misinformation in December 2020.

His Instagram page was also removed in February 2021, with the company releasing a statement saying: “We do not allow anyone to share misinformation about Covid-19 that could lead to imminent physical harm or about Covid-19 vaccines that have been discredited.” by public health experts.’

Evans was also dropped by 15 sponsors and companies in the space of 48 hours in November 2020, after posting a neo-Nazi meme on social media.

In January of this year, Evans announced his latest comeback venture: a “fasting retreat” in which participants pay $2,500 to avoid eating and participate in “breathing ceremonies.”

Evans and his wife Nicola regularly host retreats at the $1 million center near Byron Bay in northern New South Wales that he bought in 2021.
