Pete Davidson returns to the road and sells out two Florida stand-up comedy shows…

Pete Davison appears to be on the road to recovery after a stint in a rehabilitation center where he sought inpatient treatment for borderline personality disorder and PTSD.

TMZ reports that the comedian and actor is back on the road to perform his stand-up show this week with a number of shows scheduled for the Improv in Dania, Florida, near Fort Lauderdale, on Tuesday.

The shows are already sold out, so fans who don’t have tickets yet are out of luck.

At this point, there’s no official word on when he left the Pennsylvania medical facility he checked into in June, which happens to be the same one where his friend and fellow comedian, John Mulaney, had undergone treatment for alcohol and drug-related issues.

Davidson, 29, has been going through a rough patch in his personal life recently, including a public confrontation with PETA over a puppy he bought for his mother, as well as legal ramifications from his car accident that saw him run into a Beverly Hills earlier home in the year.

Back on the road: It looks like Pete Davidson, 29, has made huge strides in mental health by planning two new stand-up comedy shows in Florida this week after his last stint in a Pennsylvania rehab facility

“Pete goes to rehab regularly for ‘adjustment’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what happens,” a friend shared Page six in late June, when he explained his motivation for checking himself into rehab.

As a result of his stay in a hospital for treatment, the Staten Island, New York native had to cancel a series of shows scheduled for July.

A close source added, “Anyone who knows Pete knows he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it.”

That insider claims that Davidson “has a lot of people in his corner who love him and support him, and are proud of him.”

But now it turns out he is feel well enough to perform on stage in front of an audience again at this point.

These new stand-up dates, in the wake of his mental health hiatus, are reportedly part of his process of fleshing out new material, which is common before comedians go on tour and do a television special.

The former Saturday Night Live cast member has had a lot on his plate in recent years, juggling his stand-up career with TV sponsorships and a string of new acting roles, all while striking up a new romance with girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders.

Among his new filming in 2023 and beyond: Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts, cameos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Fast X, and the upcoming releases of Dumb Money, The Home and Wizards!

Back to it: The former SNL cast member has two new shows booked for Tuesday at the Improv in Dania, Florida, near Fort Lauderdale

Hectic: The comedian and actor had been going through a rough patch in his personal life, including the scary car accident in Beverly Hills, while keeping a busy schedule of shooting commercials, several movies and starting a new romance with Chase Sui Wonders, 27

He also just resolved his legal issues related to that scary crash in Beverly Hills, which led to him being charged with reckless driving.

Police say Davidson was behind the wheel of a Mercedes in March, with Wonders in the passenger seat, when he lost control of the car, jumped off the curb, tripped a fire hydrant and then crashed into the side of a house.

Investigators did not suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident, so he was not arrested.

A judge orders him to complete a diversion program, which requires him to do 50 hours of community service, which would erase the incident from his criminal record if he fulfills the mandates.

Then there’s that incident with PETA about a puppy he recently bought for his mom that caused him to apologize for his actions.

The organization’s Senior VP of Cruelty Investigations, Daphna Nachminovitc, publicly criticized Davidson’s decision to purchase the puppy from a pet store rather than adopt it from a shelter.

More drama: Davidson apologized after leaving an unhinged voicemail at PETA where he yelled “f*** you, suck my d***” after the organization criticized him for buying a puppy from a pet store instead of adopting a puppy shelter; the comedian claimed he should get a specific breed because he is “severely allergic to dogs”

In response, the King of Staten Island star left her a phone message explaining that he is severely allergic to most other dog breeds, but then told Nachminovitc, “F**k you, and suck my d** k.’

Finally, Davidson apologized for his foul-mouthed voicemail.

The funny man has been in rehab centers several times over the years, including one in 2017 and another in 2019 when he attended Sierra Tucson Treatment Center in Tucson, Arizona.

And in late 2018, he also had family, friends, and even fans who became concerned when he shared suicidal thoughts online, which led the New York Police Department to do a health check on him.

At this point, Davison has not yet come out to announce whether he will be booking more stand-up shows in the near future.
