Pete Davidson emerges from rehab looking better than ever after exes Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande unite

Pete Davidson made a rare public appearance on Wednesday after a long rehabilitation period over the summer.

In one of his first public outings since seeking mental health treatment, he debuted a glowing new look and appeared to have removed his sleeves of tattoos.

It is the first time he has been seen in public since May.

Davidson, 30, joined Machine Gun Kelly during the Los Angeles Clippers’ home opener at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

The comedian, 30, paid tribute to his late father and wore a sentimental shirt honoring the New York City firefighter who died heroically while saving others in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The Saturday Night Live alum — whose famous ex-girlfriends, Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian, recently spent time together at the reality star’s home — wore a red FDNY T-shirt with the organization’s logo and “Fire Dept.” [City] of New York’ across the front.

Davidson was just seven years old when his late father, New York City firefighter Scott Matthew Davidson, passed away.

His rare outing comes months after he went to a wellness center in late July to seek mental health treatment.

The news came after DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that the Bupkis star admitted he was still using marijuana after quitting both cocaine and ketamine.

The rehabilitation period came after Davidson completed more than 200 live stand-up comedy shows across the country.

An insider told People at the time that mental health has “always been a priority” for him.

A separate source also told the newspaper: ‘Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues. His friends and family have supported me throughout this time.”

He was last pictured hanging out with Machine Gun Kelly in Los Angeles in early May, and it appeared he had recently completed his inpatient treatment.

Around the same time last year, Davidson also entered a rehabilitation center to deal with issues related to his post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder diagnoses, both of which he has previously opened up about in the past.

For his appearance, his first since he was last photographed in May, Davidson, 30, joined Machine Gun Kelly for the Los Angeles Clippers’ home opener at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

In 2020, Davidson starred in The King of Staten Island, a semi-autobiographical film that draws on his struggles dealing with grief and his own childhood experiences losing his father after September 11.

He wrote the comedy drama together with director-producer Judd Apatow and comedian Dave Sirus, basing the story partly on his own past.

Directed by Judd Apatow, the film stars Davidson as Scott Carlin, a young man who spends his 20s smoking and drinking to cope with the loss of his father.

The story reflects Davidson’s own life and how he decides to pursue a career in comedy.

The King of Staten Island was released on June 12, 2020 and is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
