A mother accused of killing her three-month-old daughter before killing herself has been identified.

Perth nurse Chloe Prince and her 12-week-old baby were found dead at their home in Morley, northwest Perth, about 11am on Monday.

Prince's partner and the father of her child, Andrew Standing, is said to have made the gruesome discovery before calling police.

Detectives are treating the deaths as a possible murder-suicide and have launched a criminal investigation. Mr Standing is not considered a suspect.

According to property records, Prince purchased the single-story home on Robinson Road in 2017 for $422,000.

Despite living on the streets for more than six years, many neighbors say they did not know the couple other than the rare hello when they crossed paths.

Neighbor Peter Stanton said the couple kept to themselves and he never really saw them outside.

“It's very sad,” Stanton told Ny Breaking Australia.

“It seems like they stay in the house a lot.

“There were a few chairs on the patio, but I never saw them there.”

Mr Stanton said the father appeared to be a night shift worker in the dairy industry and was 'usually sleeping' during the day.

Western Australian police were called to Robinson Road, Morley, just after 11am and found a baby and a woman in a house

Mr Standing's work van could be seen parked outside the house on Tuesday as forensic teams searched the house.

Another neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, said he had only encountered the couple three times since they moved in.

He said the tragedy was “very sad” and that the young family were “nice people.”

According to LinkedIn, Prince worked as a nurse at Armadale Kelmscott Memorial Hospital.

Much like their home life, their social media profiles paint the picture of a very private couple.

Aside from a handful of photos of themselves, the few images on their Facebook accounts are of their pugs.

Mental Health Minister and Morley MP Amber-Jade Sanderson called the deaths 'horrible'.

“If you or a loved one is struggling, please seek help,” she wrote on Facebook.
