Perth radio personality Kimba Cahill has revealed that in addition to her on-air persona, she leads a secret life as a matriarch with a rock ‘n’ roll twist.
The radio host has received formal training to officiate weddings for her close friends, and recently discreetly presided over union ceremonies on Mic 94.5 Pete & Kimba’s breakfast show.
‘I am a celebrant. I am an authorized marriage celebrant. I got the authorization over a year ago and just kept it a secret. I have completed the standard training for a lawyer. I’ve done the course and registered with the Attorney General, so I’m ready to go,” she told PerthNews.
This week she is set to embark on her most significant venture yet, taking on the role of matron of honor for ‘The Wedding Perth Built’ at The Vines Resort on Thursday.
She will join competition winners Lizzie and Dylan in marriage, and the show’s audience decided she would judge dressed as Elvis Presley.

But it wasn’t just Cahill’s role that was chosen by the audience, every detail of the ceremony from start to finish was determined by listeners’ votes on Instagram, resulting in the final wedding in Western Australia.
Fans have chosen the Vines Resort as their wedding venue, giving it the edge over competitors such as Mosman Park Bowls Club and Morley Rollerdrome.
The three-tiered wedding cake will be provided by Arianna’s Little Bakeries, and the rings will be supplied by Socklich & Co. Jewellers.

As for the entrance of the bride and groom, the choice of fans is unusual, and the couple will arrive at the ceremony by riding a lawnmower as their mode of transportation.
Listeners voted for the groom to wear an outfit inspired by Fred Durst (in honor of the American rapper, who is the bride’s ‘hall pass’).
In contrast, they playfully chose a vintage Op Shop look for the bride on her big day.
The 35-year-old groom said, ‘I think everyone who knows us, knows that we are a little off the field, nothing against those weddings, I just don’t think it was for us.’
Meanwhile, the bride, 32, added: “We’ve just decided we’re going to try this and trust you, at least we’ll know it’s going to be unique.”
