Neighbors recall the horrifying moment when they heard a mother scream before rushing to her home to find her with her dead six-month-old baby in her crib.
The mother was heard screaming at 8am Saturday from a house on Nerang Mews Road in Merriwa, north Perth.
A neighbor said they immediately ran to find the woman cradling her lifeless baby.

He immediately sprang into action and attempted CPR until emergency services arrived.
The baby was pronounced dead after paramedics arrived.
Local resident Sean Kavanagh said the woman’s screams could be heard all over the street.
“I’ve never heard anyone scream like that,” he told 9 News.
“You could hear her going back and forth as she just screamed ‘no’. The whole street was in chaos.’
Another neighbor, Shontelle Pilton, said the situation was crushing.
“It’s a devastating situation that happened,” he said.
“I am a mother of three children myself. If that were your child, how would you feel?
She said she would “pray” for the family after the tragic incident.
Western Australia Police said an investigation has been launched.
“On arrival, a six-month-old baby was found dead,” said a spokeswoman.
“The circumstances leading up to the child’s death are being investigated.
“No further information is available at this time.”
