A man claims he broke a tooth with a needle hidden inside a loaf of garlic bread bought at a Woolworths, while his partner criticizes the bread maker for only offering the couple $10 in compensation.
Janelle, the man’s partner, bought the loaf of La Famiglia garlic bread two weeks ago at Woolworths in Stirling Central shopping center in Westminster, Perth.
A Woolworths spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia: “We know this would have been very worrying for the customer.”
“It is our understanding that they contacted the supplier directly as this is not a Woolworths product.”
“We are happy to follow up with the customer again if they wish after the initial complaint has been addressed with our store team.”
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Goodman Fielder for comment.
