A child care worker has been charged with molesting a young child in his care.
Dozens of parents received a shocking letter with the allegations on Tuesday after the 22-year-old man was arrested.
The letter explained that the Perth suburban center had been notified by police of the alleged crime last Thursday.
“From this contact, the police have requested that the matter be kept confidential pending their investigation, which took place over the long weekend,” it said.

‘Late in the evening of Monday 10 April, the police announced that an employee is involved in the investigation.
“The teacher is not on site and will not return until the police case is resolved.”
The center said the letter was sent to “dispel any rumors pending the ongoing police investigation.”
The worker, from Victoria Park in inner-southeast Perth, was arrested on Monday and charged with indecent assault on a child under the age of 13.
Parents were summoned to a ‘support session’ with police on Wednesday evening to discuss the allegations.
The letter included a “protective behavior” pamphlet to help talk to their children.
The childcare worker was granted bail and will appear before Perth Magistrates Court next month.
