Father stunned by foul-mouthed note left on his car by ‘egotistical Karen’

A dad was left shocked and angry after an insulting note was left on his car as he parked in a spot reserved for parents.

The father had parked his car at Mandurah Forum, south of Perth, when he discovered the letter on his car.

“Don’t park here again, you selfish bastard!” it reads.

His wife took to social media to express her outrage at the ‘selfish Karen’ who left the note, even though her husband had every right to park there.

“My husband was installing a baby gate in the trunk while I was at the forum changing our seven-month-old baby,” she wrote on Facebook.

‘He came back to the forum looking for me… when we got back someone had stuck this (note) on our windshield??

“How about next time be sure before insulting an innocent husband and father, you hero.”

The note, scrawled on a piece of cardboard, left her husband “hurt and almost feeling guilty,” she said.

Her post sparked a heated debate, with some questioning why such designated spaces are even necessary.

‘As a mother of only five years old, I personally do not see the need for parent areas. They are not bigger, just more convenient. “Children need exercise and strollers have wheels so they don’t have difficulty walking,” one woman said.

‘Personally, I think there should be bays for seniors, who are less mobile and have difficulty walking long distances. Give them the spots.”

Another commenter pointed out that “it’s not illegal to park in those bays whether you have a baby or not.”

‘There is no law regarding who can park with parents with strollers. They are just conveniences, but anyone can park there and use them,” said a similar comment.

“I never had them in my generation and we dealt with it and there are so many of these parks now,” said another.

Others said the person who left the insulting note should not have jumped to conclusions about the man who used the place.

‘I have a disabled sticker, but when you see me you think ‘why?’ – but I have multiple problems and can’t walk very far before my spine locks up or both my knees lock up or all together,” they wrote.

Some people suggested that others not judge too harshly the person who wrote the note.

‘Warm weather sometimes brings out the worst in people. Don’t let it ruin your day,” one person wrote.

Others said the parents’ parking spot made no difference to them.

‘I park in the parent parks, even if I don’t have a child. My time is valuable,” one commenter said.

There were also some humorous comments, the funniest being the person who wrote: ‘I’m all for making them Karen Bays so no one else has to deal with the c*** and they’ll feel special enough to treat everyone to leave alone.’
