A massive inferno erupts at a car yard destroying more than 70 vehicles as firefighters battle the blaze

A massive fire has swept a card park in Perth, burning dozens of cars.

The inferno broke out around 5:15 p.m. Friday in Pickles’ parking lot near Bibra Lake, in the south of the city.

So far, at least 70 cars have been destroyed and 10 fire crews are fighting the flames.

Dramatic video of the scene shows towering flames burning through three levels of cars stacked on top of each other in storage.

Smoke is spreading on nearby streets and people have been warned to stay indoors where possible.

Drivers have also been asked to use their headlights while driving through the smog.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

The car yard had only just closed when the fire broke out and is home to hundreds of vehicles and boats.
