Car crash in Perth near Mardella: Mother’s message after daughter Tori Pearsall dies
- Tori Pearsall, 27, killed in car crash
- She was the mother of three young children
- Her mother has shared her heartbreak
The devastated mother of a young woman killed in a fiery car crash has revealed her final words to her daughter as she sends a heartbreaking message to other parents.
Tori Pearsall, 27, was in the middle of moving house when her car veered off the Kargotich Road in Mardella, 56km south of Perth, and crashed into a tree about 3.30am last Saturday.
The mother-of-three’s Toyota Corolla hatchback caught fire while she was still inside. She died on the spot.
Now Mrs Pearsall’s mother, Yvette Leifsson, has told what she learned from the tragedy, as she urges other parents to cherish their children.
“If I can take anything away from this mess, it’s knowing that every time I speak to my beautiful children, the last thought I say is ‘I love you’ and they say it back,” she wrote on Facebook.

“It doesn’t matter if I see them a hundred times a day or talk on the phone, every time we end our conversations with I LOVE YOU – and that’s the last thing we said to each other.
“So please tell your children that you love them because you don’t know when it will be the last time.
“It gives me comfort to know that my daughter Tori knew that I loved her with all my heart.”
At the time of the accident, Ms Pearsall was on her way to her sister’s home, where her three young children – all under the age of 10 – were staying while she and her partner, Ricky Clothier, were working along the way.
Ms Pearsall and Mr Clothier, who share two young sons and a daughter, were high school sweethearts and had been together for 14 years.
The youngest of their children is just two months away from her second birthday.
In December last year, Mrs Pearsall, who owns a catering company, shared a stunning photo of her children on social media and wrote: ‘My greatest achievement ever’.
Ms Pearsall’s sister Kirra Panaia said West Australian Tori’s children meant the world to her.

“To my dearest sister, I love you so much, and this still doesn’t seem real… You stood with me when the world was against me,” she said.
“You have my word, I have you and your children… I will let your memory live on forever sis, I love you, and you make me so proud.”
Friend Caitlin has one GoFundMe to help the family financially as they cope with the devastating loss of their “heavenly angel.”
Caitlin said Tori was a “loving mother, partner, sister, daughter, best friend and so much more” and that her death had “not been easy” on her loved ones.
‘Let’s help make this a little easier and help (support) her (family) just like we would if she was here!!!’ she wrote.
It is not clear why the car Ms Pearsall was driving left the road.
Major crash investigators seized the vehicle while they worked to determine the cause of the accident.
