Coogee Beach tragedy: Chaos as person tragically falls to their death from Dunningham Reserve cliff

Chaos ensued at one of Sydney’s most popular beaches last night after a person plunged to his death from a nearby cliff.

The tragedy occurred on Thursday evening at Dunningham Reserve, on the northern headland of Coogee Beach in Sydney’s east.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the accident, where Toll carried out the rescue operation helicopter landed in the reserve.

One local resident wrote on social media that they could “hear all the sirens going down the street.”

A shocked witness claimed they heard emergency services saying they could not find the victim’s pulse.

A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that the fallen person had died.

NSW Ambulance was contacted for comment.

A 17-year-old boy died on the same cliff face in January 2023 after falling 50 feet (15 meters) to the rocks below.
