It comes after Perrie discussed her battle with self-confidence and revealed that cruel bullies at school made her “criticize” herself as a child.
The Little Mix singer heartbreakingly admitted that she “hated her freckles” and even asked her mother for “an acid peel” in an attempt to get rid of them.
Speaking in a new candid interview, Perrie said she internalized hate as a result of being tormented and would find fault with herself.
The musician added that now, her self-esteem is a far cry from when she was an “insecure” teenager, since she had learned “not to worry about what others think.”
“When I was younger I was a bit insecure, I hated my freckles, I was always pretty sick and anemic so I had dark circles under my eyes, I was very malnourished and skinny, and I had a big scar on my stomach from the surgeries. ‘, said Funny.
She continued: ‘I just hated everything. People used to intimidate me, and I think it was something that I internalized.
Everyone criticized me and that made me criticize myself. I asked my mom if she could give me an acid peel to get rid of my freckles.
Perrie later added that her confidence has come with age and learning “not to care what other people think.”
