It comes after Perrie discussed her struggles with aplomb and revealed that vicious school bullies caused her to “criticize” herself growing up.
The Little Mix singer heartbreakingly admitted that she “hated her freckles” and even asked her mom “for an acid peel” in an effort to get rid of them.
In a candid new interview, Perrie said she internalized the hatred as a result of being tormented and would pick fault with herself.
The musician added that her self-love is now a world away from when she was an “insecure” teenager, as she had learned “not to care about what others think.”
“When I was younger I was a little insecure, I hated my freckles, I was always pretty bad and anemic, so I had dark circles under my eyes, I was really malnourished and skinny, and I had a big scar on my stomach from surgery,’ she said Thank you.
She continued, “I just hated everything. People used to bully me, and I think it was something I internalized.
“Everyone criticized me, and that made me criticize myself. I asked my mom if I could get an acid peel to get rid of my freckles.
Perrie later added that her confidence has come with age and has learned “not to care what others think.”

“We have made so many incredible memories with all of you and can’t wait to make so many more. We are sisters and we will always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever. See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie x.”
