However, those hoping for a resolution to Lady Jane’s story will be disappointed, as Amazon has decided not to renew the series for a second season.

Amazon Prime Video broke the news on Saturday, and viewers expressed their disappointment via X, formerly known as Twitter.

They just hate fun, whimsy, they hate historical romance with an emphasis on drama, they hate enemies turned lovers where one is literally a horse, they hate silliness!!!’; ‘I can’t stop thinking about My Lady Jane being cancelled, this is my worst fear coming true.’

The news of the series’ cancellation leaves the character’s storyline on a frustrating cliffhanger, as series narrator Oliver Chris previously presumptuously announced that “the story isn’t over yet.”
