People who lose weight on Ozempic are just ‘lazy’, says Rebel Wilson’s PT

Jono Castano is the famous trainer who helped Rebel Wilson lose 30 kg during her ‘health year’ in 2020.

And the owner of Acero Gym is now leading the charge against weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, saying they’re only for “lazy” people looking for quick fixes.

Castano, 32, and his model girlfriend Simone Holtznagel, 29, appeared on The morning show on Thursday to discuss the controversial drugs.

He said he takes a “strong stand” against people who take drugs to lose weight, especially those who are not even overweight or obese to begin with.

“As a personal trainer, I hate it when people are lazy and want quick results,” he told co-hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

“It’s a lazy thing for people to use. I’ve heard of women weighing 60kg taking it and wondering why,” he added.

Holtznagel then jumped in to share how she maintains her slim body in the competitive modeling industry, with Castano’s help.

“I’ve gotten bigger and smaller, but those are just lifestyle changes. We both get up really early to go to the gym together,” she said.

She said her super-fit boyfriend taught her some innovative new workout techniques to optimize her time in the gym.

In April, Castano announced plans to open his first gym in America.

He will expand his Acero Gym empire in the United States with a branch in September in West Hollywood, where he hopes to “work with more influential people.”

“The US has always been such an important goal of mine,” he said news.com.au. “That’s what I want to strive for.”

Castano is joined by Holtznagel, who is no stranger to Los Angeles.

Simone is coming with me. She lived there before [Covid] pandemic and having someone who can support me and know the system is great,” he said.

The couple debuted their romance in September.

Their relationship became public knowledge when they were pictured kissing in Mimi’s restaurant in eastern Sydney.
