People are only just realizing the hidden message in the LG logo – have you seen it?
- LG has a unique logo worth seeing, but have you understood its meaning?
Faced with an ever-changing swirl of new brands popping up on our televisions, smartphones and laptop screens, it’s easy to overlook the hidden meanings in many of their designs.
But the decals of some well-known street names are so cleverly conceived that they deserve a closer look.
South Korean tech giant LG certainly has a trademark befitting its cheerfully named ancestors, The Sun reports.
Created from the merger of parent companies Lucky and Goldstar in the 1980s, LG’s logo consists of a burgundy circle that resembles a round face.

Inside the circle, an L can be seen as his nose, surrounded by a large G that gives the impression of a smile.
A dot in the center even looks like an eye, creating the effect of a happy face.
A brand expert said, “These hidden messages help LG appear more approachable and inviting.”
According to LG itself, the letters ‘L’ and ‘G’ in a circle symbolize the world, future, youth, humanity and technology.
A spokesman for the company said: ‘Our philosophy is based on humanity. It also represents LG’s efforts to maintain close relationships with our customers around the world.
“Red, the main color, represents our friendliness and also gives a strong impression of LG’s commitment to deliver the best. Therefore, the shape or color of this symbol mark may never be changed.’
