Elon Musk has been compared to a ‘cult leader’ on the internet after it became known that he had bought a secret shelter where his eleven children could live together.
The Tesla founder, 53, spent $35 million on a sprawling Texas estate so his several exes and 11 children could live together.
The billionaire reportedly bought the multi-mansion Austin complex in hopes that his growing family could grow up around each other.
However, his family-oriented gesture has raised eyebrows among some Instagram to mock the tech mogul’s move.
Some said Elon gave them the “creeps” and claimed his purchase of the 150,000-square-foot complex “gave off cult vibes” for millions.

Four insiders said the following: the New York Times he bought the 15,000-square-foot mansion so his family could live in “adjacent properties,” allowing him to “schedule time” for his youngest children.
However, the revelation did not go down well with everyone, with some taking to Instagram to criticize Tesla’s CEO.
One person said: ‘This gives off cult vibes.’
Another user added, “Oh, so like Sister Wives? Lol.’
“Billionaires shouldn’t even exist,” said one.
Someone else commented: ‘He scares me so much.’
Many people compared the tech mogul to a “cult leader” as they called him “creepy.”
One user said: ‘I can’t wait for the Netflix documentary about this cult.’
While it’s unclear whether all of the auto pro’s exes are on board with the idea, Shivon Zilis, an executive at Elon’s brain tech startup Neuralink, has reportedly already moved into one of the mansions on the Austin property.
Elon and Shivon welcomed twins, Strider and Azure, two years ago, and a third child born earlier this year.
The world’s richest man often warns that depopulation is one of the “greatest threats” to the world, and has built his $270 billion fortune largely on renewability.
This recently saw his rocket company SpaceX successfully capture its Starship rocket with giant mechanical arms, while his electric car company Tesla has become the world’s most valuable car company.
Elon recently moved to Pennsylvania in hopes of helping Donald Trump retake the White House, but sources told the Times that when he is in Texas, he often lives in a mansion that is just a 10-minute walk from his planned family compound.
The $35 million Austin estate resembles Tuscan villas and includes a main house and at least one six-bedroom mansion in the back.
His plan was reportedly to have all three of his children’s mothers move to the enclave along with his 11 children, but his tumultuous home life means some relatives may not want to participate.
