Steak with a side of butter and a glass of bone broth for ‘dessert’: Penrith Panthers player Nathan Cleary reveals his day on a plate as he goes on carnivore diet
Nathan Cleary gets in touch with his inner caveman.
The Penrith Panthers superstar shared his day on a plate in an Instagram post this week, showing off his all-meat diet.
The 27-year-old starts his day with a breakfast consisting of water with Celtic sea salt and sea moss.
For lunch he is served two steaks with knobs of grass-fed butter, and for dinner there is more steak.
Three eggs cooked in beef fat and two steaks form his last main meal, followed by a ‘dessert’.
No sweets were offered, but Nathan put bone broth in a glass and mixed in some sea moss.

‘Bye on a plate. Carnivore/fat loss before pre-season edition,” he explained in his caption.
“Side note: This isn’t my diet all the time, but it is what I currently do for a short period of time… Maybe another ‘day on a plate’ when I get back to normal training.”
His fans were generally supportive, but some disagreed with his ‘dessert’,
‘Jesus, that shouldn’t be called dessert!!!! lol,” one person joked, while another wrote, “But where’s the snack after dessert?”
“What about your vegetables?” asked another, while someone else said, “Four steaks a day, boy.”
It comes after Nathan revealed he is interested in settling down and starting a family with Mary Fowler, as well as explaining the difficulties of maintaining a long-distance relationship.
Fresh from leading Penrith to their fourth consecutive premiership title, Cleary and Fowler spent a few weeks together after this year’s NRL grand final, with him flying to meet her in England – and following her to Switzerland to meet her saw him play for the Matildas.
Their relationship appeared to go a step further when Cleary was photographed holding Matildas star Katrina Gorry’s daughter Harper as he watched the Aussies take on Germany – the first time he has been photographed spending time with the best friends of his partner.

Cleary had to return home in November to undergo shoulder surgery in time to be fully healthy for the start of the NRL season on March 1 next year – but he and Fowler have both been busy posting photos of each other on social media while they keep their long distance relationship alive.
However, Cleary has admitted that the distance between them is taking its toll.
“It was tough, it’s definitely not something I ever thought I would do,” he told the Keegan and Company podcast.
“I think what helped us was that as soon as we met, and we started talking, we knew it was going to lead to that path and if we wanted to do it, it would take a long time. distance.
“Sometimes you just come home and you want to cuddle a little bit, but I think it’s helped us connect on more than just (on) a physical level and have real conversations.
“We just navigate around it and when we see each other it’s the best thing ever. You are truly grateful for the moments we get to spend together.
“We’re constantly talking on FaceTime or whatever and kind of finding our way through that.”
The Panthers playmaker said both he and Fowler have discussed having children, but the arrangements are not ideal for a family at the moment.

“It’s obviously difficult because we’re both quite stuck in our sport,” he said.
‘I definitely want to have children in the future. I wish it was with Mary, I just think she will be the best mother.
‘But hey, we’ll see. There is no rush at the moment, but certainly in the future.
‘After football I would love to have a small family of my own.’
Cleary said the key to their relationship is that they both understand each other’s world.
“It is and she certainly understands,” he explained.
“People look at us and think we talk about our sport all the time.”
“But sometimes it’s just fun to just sit there as two people and enjoy each other’s company and talk about something other than sports,” he said.
“I think probably for both of us, a lot of people want to talk about sports all the time and I think when we’re together we just enjoy each other’s company, but it’s always that support and trust that if something goes wrong, we can talking about it and exchanging ideas with each other, it was a lot of fun.’
Meanwhile, Fowler recently decided to withdraw from the national team for the recent international matches against Brazil and Taiwan.
She said she needed to ‘take this time to prioritize recovery to refresh both mentally and physically so that I can continue to put my best self forward for both club and country’.
This week, Fowler returned to action for Manchester City with a fantastic goal in their 4-0 win over Leicester.
