She suffered serious head injuries and lay in the street when bystanders tried to save her life.

One attempted CPR, but her injuries were too severe and she was pronounced dead by the time medics arrived on the scene.

The woman, an employee of one of the city’s hospitals, was standing on the sidewalk when the heavy metal cylinder hit her on the head.

She suffered serious head injuries and witnesses did their best to save her life on the street.

But she died when paramedics arrived on the scene to treat her.

Pittsburgh Public Safety Public Information Officer Emily Bourne told KDKA that the metal cylinder rolled down the hill from the construction site.

“It’s clear there’s a construction site here, a large metal steel drum that escaped from the construction site, rolled down the hill and broke through a piece of fencing,” she said.

“And the woman was on the sidewalk down the street when she was hit by the piece of metal from the runway.”
