A Pennsylvania man fatally shot his beloved wife and daughter after he got into an argument with the women while cleaning his gun.
Roger Hanks, 76, of Chester County was arrested at his home Thursday evening and charged with first-degree murder.
The charges came after police were called to the 200 block of Wiltshire Drive, where Hanks lived with his 75-year-old wife Judith, around 6:15 p.m. Their home was a $746,000 single-family home with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
After being found in his garage and taken into custody, Hanks admitted to shooting his wife Judith and daughter Emily, 37. ABC reported.
Hanks admitted that he got into a fight with Judith while cleaning his gun and told her, “If you keep this up, this thing is going to come on you.”

Hanks allegedly pointed the gun at his wife and told her “if she didn’t shut up and leave him alone, he was going to ‘plug’ her,” documents showed.

He pointed the gun at both women’s chests, an affidavit stated.
Hanks then proceeded to brag to police that he is “the best of the best” when it comes to shooting firearms and flaunted his frequent participation in target shooting competitions, the affidavit said.
The Pennsylvania man also told police that he had drunk two German beers and Irish whiskey earlier on the day of the tragic incident.
Police said the weapon and two spent shell casings were found at the scene.
Emily’s Linkedin account reveals that she graduated from the University of Miami and worked as a consulting director for a risk management and governance firm in Chicago.
