Nancy Pelosi stumbled over her words as she accused former President Donald Trump of suffering from “cognitive degeneration.”
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives joined MSNBC shortly after Trump unleashed a wild tirade in Pennsylvania.
Pelosi said on MSNBC Sunday morning, “I think what the ex-president just said is a further indication of his cognitive degeneration.
“Something is very wrong there,” before the 84-year-old began to sputter over her words.
She collected herself and continued: ‘[He’s] diminishing the power of the press, which is the guardian of our freedom and our country.”
Pelosi had spoken to MSNBC on Sunday morning, shortly after Trump unleashed a wild tirade in Pennsylvania
She added, “I think people who are thinking of voting for him should know that he won’t last four years as president if his brain is deteriorating.”
Pelosi also added that it could be Vice President Sen. JD Vance who ends up as commander in chief, which she described as a “terrible thing.”
Trump gave a conspiracy-laden speech just two days before the election, in which he spoke, among other things, about shooting reporters.
He also suggested he “shouldn’t have left” the White House after his 2020 loss to Biden.
When he pictured the ballistic glass after an assassination attempt earlier this year, he said, “I have this piece of glass here.
‘But really all we have here is fake news. And to get me, someone would have to go through the fake news. And I don’t mind that so much.’
Karoline Leavitt, his campaign’s national press secretary, defended the comments, telling ABC News, “It was clear he was joking.”
At one point during the discussion about Democratic “cheating” in elections, Trump demanded that the winner be announced no later than 11 p.m. on Election Day.
Pelosi also added that it might be Vice President Sen. J.D. Vance who ends up as commander in chief, which she described as a “terrible thing.”
Former President Donald Trump went on a nearly five-minute rant about the bulletproof glass surrounding him at the outdoor event during his rally in Lititz, Pennsylvania
During the rally on Sunday, Trump said he felt there should be no glass in certain areas because it made him look bad on television.
Trump has joked about Arnold Palmer’s genitals in recent weeks and held a rally at Madison Square Garden with speakers who used crude and racist insults.
It was the second time in recent days that Trump has spoken about pointing guns at people he considers enemies.
He suggested former Rep. Liz Cheney, a prominent Republican critic, would be unwilling to support foreign wars if she had “nine barrels shooting at her.”
With less than 48 hours before Election Day, Trump continues to promote election falsehoods, claiming the only way he can lose to Kamala Harris is if he is cheated, even as polls show a tight race.
A latest New York Times poll shows Trump trailing Harris in four crucial swing states: Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
They are tied in Michigan and Pennsylvania and Trump is ahead by one point in Arizona. It’s a razor-thin race with just two days to go until Election Day.
The latest results follow a shocking poll released Saturday evening that showed Trump trailing Harris by three points in Iowa, a solidly red state.
The vice president is also closing the gap with Trump in the betting markets, a sign of momentum for her in the final days of the campaign.
The former president’s chances plummeted overnight after the results of the Des Moines Register poll were announced.
But in the early hours of Sunday his chances improved slightly, with a small gap still between him and Harris.
