A shocking video shows a man walking in front of a honking car with no regard for his own safety before being knocked to the ground by an onlooker.

The incident took place in Melbourne, where the man was seen walking in the middle of a single carriageway, unfazed by the driver in the car behind it beeping angrily at him to get off the road.

A pedestrian was enraged by the pedestrian’s actions, attacked the man and knocked him to the ground from behind.

The attacker yelled ‘F*** off the road’ at the unwitting man.

“Have goddamn respect yeah… He’s beeping at you, get that bastard off the road.”

A pedestrian was enraged by the pedestrian’s actions, attacked the man and knocked him to the ground from behind. The attacker told the unwitting man ‘F*** off the road’. “Have some damn respect yeah.. He beeps at you, get that f*** off the road”

The man was blocked, the oncoming car then seemed to indicate that he was deaf and could not hear the beeping.

However, many social media users did not accept the excuse, saying ‘deaf people have all the more reason not to walk in the middle of the road, and they know it’.

“I think the world would be a better place if it was legal to punch certain people in the face,” commented one user.

“Thinks he owns the world,” said another.

“It doesn’t matter if he’s really deaf. If you are entitled to or unaware of the cause of your disability, you deserve a beating,” wrote a third.

Still, some users claimed that it was the attacker who was wrong and thought the man was drunk.

Daily Mail Australia does not claim that the man was deaf or intoxicated.

‘Show a little mercy and lead him off the street! A small blow, okay, but a complete tackle? Come on,” commented one user.

“Nobody thinks it’s overly aggressive to push him like that?” wrote another.

“He’s probably drunk, can’t even walk in a straight line, a man who treated him like that was doing wrong, he could be seriously injured,” said a third.
