BREAKING NEWS: Caddy receives CPR after collapsing on the course of the famed Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament featuring Aaron Rodgers, Gareth Bale and Bill Murray… forcing play to be halted to allow a ambulance enter the street
A caddy at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am received CPR after collapsing on the 11th fairway Friday afternoon.
The tournament, which is broadcast live on CBS and involves big names including Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen and Gareth Bale, was temporarily halted while an ambulance arrived on the field to treat the injured man.
Paolo Uggetti, a golf writer for ESPN, reported that the man, who was caddying for an amateur at the tournament, was still receiving CPR when he was stretchered to an ambulance on the 11th hole.
A few minutes later, fan Lukas Nelson, singer of the rock band Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, told the same reporter that the caddy who collapsed is “getting better.”
The incident was later confirmed by the PGA Tour in a statement, which said the man, who has not been identified for privacy reasons, was taken to Montage Health in Monterey for evaluation.

Play at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was halted while an ambulance attended to the man.
He added: ‘Under the direction of the PGA Tour Rules Committee, players in that group halted play during the medical emergency and will be allowed to warm up and resume their rounds shortly. We will provide additional details as they become available.’
The group in which the caddy was carrying clubs included four players, two amateurs and two professionals, and they were just over halfway through their round.
It seems that the group consisted of Nelson and Geoff Couch as amateurs, while Max McGreevy and Beau Hossler were the professionals.
McGreevy told ESPN that the caddy “collapsed in the middle of the fairway and they tried to get the bag off him quickly so they could try CPR.”
It was reported shortly after that the group was allowed to pause their round and has since headed back to the clubhouse to ‘regroup’. It is unclear if they will return to the field to finish their second round.
The tournament at Pebble Beach involves a host of top professionals and celebrity fans, including comedian Bill Murray, football coach Ron Rivera and actor Will Arnett, all on the field in California.
NFL quarterback Allen is also playing in the tournament, just weeks after Buffalo Bills teammate Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and required cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the same treatment he received caddy on Friday.
Hamlin is now on the mend and was present for the Bills’ final game of the season, a playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on January 22.
Josh Allen was also on the field on Friday, just weeks after watching Buffalo Bills teammate Damar Hamlin receive CPR on the field.

Hamlin is rushed to hospital by ambulance after going into cardiac arrest on the field. It is not yet clear if the caddy suffered the same problem, but he received CPR like Hamlin.
