“He’s here. I’m fully prepared and expecting to dive off the hormonal cliff at any moment, but for now I’m riding this heavenly wave of perfect love,” she told her followers.
“All I want to do is stay in this bed, nurse my exhausted happy bones, sniff his lovely head and grandly announce that he’s wearing an archive look from the 2021 collection every time I put him in one of his brother’s old baby grows Stop.’
‘(I may be a little confused at this point.) Oh wow, the love, the love, the love.’
She added: ‘Special thanks to the amazing team at @stroudmaternity for bringing him here so safely and happily and looking after us so expertly. We are so grateful.’

The expectant mother, who already shares three-year-old son Henry with her husband, admitted she forgot whether the public knew she was expecting.
She explained: ‘I forgot who I’m having and haven’t told them until now because I’ve been busy trying to remember what a waistband is and trying to stop my three-year-old from using my belly as a trampoline, but – big baby number two is on the way. Isn’t that amazing.’
Sophie played heavily pregnant PC Joanna Marshall in her thriller After The Flood, which aired in January.
She co-starred with her real-life husband, who played PC Marshall’s police officer husband Pat Holman, in the show, and it seems the fake and real pregnancy almost overlapped.
During an appearance on The One Show: ‘I’m pregnant in real life now. So this is starting to feel like the longest pregnancy a human woman has ever endured.”
Sophie revealed that wearing the fake belly almost put her off having another child, adding: ‘I wasn’t pregnant at the time, I had a big fake belly and I think I was a bit put off when I got the fake belly, then I’d had enough time gone by and now I’m going for more.’

She wrote on Instagram: ‘Finally a shoutout to @tubbytoms who, when I asked for more pizza hot sauce, absolutely understood the needs of a heavily pregnant woman and sent me this GEMS. A hero and an artist’.
Sophie rose to fame as agent Kirsten McAskill in Happy Valley, but met a gruesome end at the hands of psychopath Tommy Lee Royce.
She then played Ada Shelby in the hit BBC series Peaky Blinders, returning to film the final series just four weeks after the birth of her first child Henry.
Sophie admitted at the time: ‘It was very intense and definitely mental. But it was the last season and it felt really important to finish it.’
She said motherhood has made her stronger, adding: “I’m not intimidated by an older man in a position of power, because I’m a mother to this little boy. I much prefer who I am now.”
