Payday 3 plans a very messy heist in new trailer from Xbox Showcase

Another robbery is almost underway. The latest trailer for Payday 3 premiered at the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase and showcased plenty of bank robbery gameplay. The game will be released on September 21.

As you’d expect from a Payday game, this trailer opens with a group of would-be thieves planning their latest job – along with a comment about how easy this heist will be. Once they get to the bank, however, it turns out to be anything but, and that’s where the fun of Payday usually begins.

The trailer then quickly transitions to mobs of police officers, frantic gunfights, and general mayhem. There are new ninja cops, remote control gun turrets, hostages and open battles from the street to the rooftops.

Payday 3 is again being developed by Overkill Software. The Payday series has lived a strange life since the first game was released in 2011. While the first game mostly worked on the “you play the bank robbers” premise, the second game, released in 2013, built on that idea with much more replayability. . While it was certainly popular when it was first released, the consistent content updates and community passion helped to give it impressive staying power. Payday 3 has been in development for a while, but it looks like it’s finally done ten years after the series’ last entry.
