But the Opposites Attract hitmaker – who returned to touring in 2018 after almost three decades – is confident she will hit the road again when she is able to.
That’s because she wants to see the rest of the world and perform for her fans all over the world.
She said: ‘I just had the best time coming off this tour and there’s still the rest of the world to see and perform for.’
Abdul looked in great shape in a black mini dress, stockings and platform heels at the 10th annual Gala of The Stars Awards at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.
The 21-date tour was scheduled to begin on September 25 in Victoria, British Columbia and conclude on October 26 in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

‘In an effort to keep going, I have been given targeted injections which will give me temporary relief, but the demands of an entire tour are a different story.
‘After multiple consultations with my doctors and exploring all available options, I was told that one of my injuries required minor surgery followed by a recovery time of 6 to 8 weeks.
‘Therefore, it will forbid me to continue with the Straight Up! To Canada Tour and dates in Alaska and North Dakota. ‘

Abdul’s tour cancellation comes after she wrapped up a grueling stint as the opening act for New Kids on the Block’s The Magic Summer 2024 Tour in North America.
She joined the beloved ’90s boy band – featuring Donnie Wahlberg, Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Danny Wood and Joey McIntyre – for a whopping 42 concerts with DJ Jazzy Jeff.
The tour was NKOTB’s first in a decade and was in support of their eighth studio album, Still Kids, which they released in May.
