Paul Skenes watches as Olivia Dunne stars for LSU… days after partying in New Orleans on night of attack

Olivia Dunne’s senior season debut for LSU gymnastics had her favorite spectator fresh off the floor in Baton Rouge in her boyfriend and Pittsburgh Pirates star pitcher Paul Skenes.

Dunne is entering her final year of college sports at the school where she and Skenes met in 2023 and have been an item ever since.

Dunne started her season without falling fourth on the balance beam, scoring a 9.825. Dunne increased her score to a 9.875 and placed third in the Tigers’ final event of the night, the floor exercise.

Pirates teammate Bubba Chandler joined Skenes at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Dunne revealed Wednesday that she and Skenes were in New Orleans the night of the Bourbon Street terror attack, after sharing chilling footage of her New Year’s celebrations.

On New Year’s Day, the LSU gymnastics sensation posted two photos from a night out Louisianabut they both seem to be from the night before.

She and MLB star boyfriend Skenes were first pictured alongside Chandler and partner Allie Enright at a bar.

Dunne also posted a second image, which appeared to show a busy Bourbon Street hours before the deadly attack a heartbroken emoji.

It is unclear exactly when the group was on Bourbon Street, although the large crowd – apparently cheerful – would suggest it was before the attack.

New Orleans is reeling from the fatal attack that killed 14 people and injured 35 after a terrorist drove a vehicle into a large crowd celebrating New Year’s on Bourbon Street.

Dunne used her extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA to return to the Tigers’ lineup for a fifth season.

Skenes does not have to report for spring training with the Pirates for several more weeks.
