Paul Scholes urges Manchester United to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan

Paul Scholes urges Manchester United to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan because he would ‘be better suited to Ten Hag’s style of play’ than Victor Osimhen, and Old Trafford legend doubts Harry Kane will leave Tottenham

Paul Scholes has urged Manchester United to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan because he would “be better suited to Erik Ten Hag’s style of play” than Victor Osimhen.

Ten Hag is in the market for a new striker after being forced to rely on loan forward Wout Weghorst in the absence of Anthony Martial, who has been hampered by injury.

Harry Kane, 29, is expected to leave Tottenham at the end of the season with just 12 months remaining on his contract and is reportedly wanted by the United manager.

However, the former United midfielder said he believes the current Spurs chairman is “difficult to deal with” and the England captain will not be leaving.

The Red Devils legend also said that Napoli striker Osimhen is more suitable for a Chelsea move, but Martinez would “be more suited to Erik ten Hag’s style.”

The former United midfielder said he believes the current Spurs chairman is “difficult to deal with” and England captain Harry Kane will not be leaving.

Speaking to BT Sport, the 48-year-old said: “I don’t think Kane will leave Tottenham. I think Dan Levy is difficult to deal with.

“I think Osimhen is a great player, but I think he is more suitable for Chelsea. I think Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez would fit Ten Hag’s style of play.”
