Paul Scholes has criticized Erik ten Hag's tactics while playing away from home as Manchester United manager.
The Red Devils will play West Ham in an early kick-off on Saturday in a difficult away match at the London Stadium.
United struggled against the better sides in the Premier League away from Old Trafford last season, beating just one of the other teams that finished in the top ten.
Before today's 12.30pm kick-off at West Ham, Scholes said Ten Hag's tactics away from home were 'naive'.
He said: “Last year they struggled in the big games and last year I also thought it was naive to go to good away games and play with one midfielder while the rest were attacking.

'That's the way he (Ten Hag) wants to play, but when you go to big teams in England you can't afford that.
“He's really struggled to find the right balance and they come to West Ham today, it's another big game because you can guarantee they'll be super organised. They are difficult to play against, but they also have brilliant attackers who can get you into trouble. .'
Manchester United are in midfield today with both Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes usually plays higher up the pitch, but McTominay is United's current top scorer in all competitions with six.
Scholes believes United would play better as the Scotland international, playing more forward in front of Fernandes.
Scholes also believes United would get the best out of Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes if the Scotland international played in a more advanced position.
He said: 'Of the two between (Scott) McTominay and (Bruno) Fernandes, I prefer McTominay to go more forward because he scores goals and then Bruno can control the game better.'
United and West Ham were separated by just one point in today's match.
