Paul Rudd shocks locals in Dublin Pub as he enjoys a drink and a singalong with folk band but ‘forgets to settle the bill’

Paul Rudd shocked locals after stopping by for a drink and a sing-along in a Dublin pub.

The Clueless star, 55, was spotted enjoying a traditional Irish drink at the Olympia on Friday, along with folk band Hermitage and a handful of regulars.

The Antman actor, who was recently in the Irish capital filming his new movie, was spotted in a casual outfit as he listened to an impromptu performance from the band.

And the whole surprising episode was captured on the Irish musician’s Instagram.

The folk singers posted a video to their 30,000 followers showing the moment they encountered the actor.

In the clip, Paul can be seen wearing gray sweatpants, a light khaki hoodie and a light brown utility jacket as he sipped a small glass of poitín – an Irish spirit.

At the beginning of the video, Paul can be seen raising a glass to singer and guitarist Dan Murphy and saying sláinte as he clinks his glass against the band’s.

The clip then cuts to the singers performing a traditional Scottish farewell song, The Parting Glass, as Paul stands in a circle with other customers listening intently to the tune.

At the end, the Anchorman actor smiles before taking a sip of his drink.

And it seems Paul was such a fan of the band that he left with a piece of merchandise but apparently forgot to pay the bill – and still owes the band €15.

Hermitage joked about the star and their surprising interaction in the caption of their post.

They wrote: ‘We finished sound check at Olympia yesterday and slipped out for a quiet pint of Guinness and a poitín chaser.

‘If anyone sees Paul Rudd walking around Dublin in a Hermitage Green t-shirt, go up to him and say hello to him, he’s a nice guy.
