Officers said Pelosi’s eyes appeared ‘red and watery.’ ‘He was unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred and he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath,’ a court document said

He totaled his car and slammed into a 2014 Jeep.

Pelosi was en route to the couple’s vineyard home in St. Helena.

The other driver, 48-year-old Jesus Lopez, had mild injuries from the crash, telling investigators the next day he had soreness in his upper right arm, right shoulder and back, and was suffering from headaches.

Pelosi failed a field sobriety test at the scene and officers described his eyes as ‘red and watery,’ according to a court document first obtained by The New York Post.

‘He was unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred and he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath,’ the document said.

Pelosi was booked at 12.32am – where his mugshot was taken – and held in jail until 4.30am.

Napa County DA Allison Haley waited weeks to charge Pelosi, eventually doing so on June 23 with one count of DUI causing injury and another of driving with .08 percent blood alcohol level or higher causing injury.

Pelosi’s blood alcohol content was 0.82 percent, court documents said.
