Paul Mescal has claimed he was recently harassed by a “creepy fan” outside the Almeida Theater in Islington, north London.
He was starring in a sold-out run of the Tennessee Williams classic, A Streetcar Named Desire when a fan approached him after the show.
During an interview with Alexandra Jones for ES Magazine, Paul said the women ‘grabbed my ass’ without consent.
Speaking about his experience of fame, Paul said: “97 per cent is really nice, then 3 per cent is someone grabbing your ass.”
He then explained: ‘As we pose for it [photo], she put her hand on my butt. I thought it was an accident, so I like, ‘she gets up from her chair and awkwardly moves away from an imaginary hand,’ but her hand followed me. I remember tensing up and feeling like rage.

I turned to her and said, “What are you doing? Get your hand off my ass.” The last thing I want to do is call someone in front of the theater, it’s awkward for everyone involved, but it really wasn’t right. It was so gross, creepy.
Paul showed off his tattooed skin while posing in a white tank top on the cover of ES Magazine.
The 27-year-old actor looked dapper as he donned a black suit with a crisp white shirt.
Paul was recently nominated for a BAFTA, but missed out on Austin Butler’s gong for his role in Elvis.
The Normal People star was also nominated for a Best Actor Oscar the next month, saying: “It’s crazy, right? Look, I’m not going to win. So it’s kind of low stakes pressure, I can basically just sit back and enjoy it.’
Paul’s mother, Dearbhla, who has cancer, said it was “unbelievable” that her actor son took her to the BAFTAs on Sunday.
The star’s father is undergoing chemotherapy for bone marrow cancer and expressed gratitude for being part of his son’s ‘wacky ride’ after he was nominated for Best Actor for his role in Aftersun.
She told the Mirror: ‘These last few days I feel like I’m in a movie…my heart is so grateful.

Speaking on Morning Ireland on RTE Radio 1, he said: “If all goes well, it could be.”
‘If not, I hope to be there in my fluffy socks… and watch it from a TV screen.
“But I’d like to be on that side of the world… Life is pretty magical and you can take a beating when things are good around you.”

It comes after it emerged that movie star Paul will start filming Gladiator 2 this summer.
He’s set to star in the long-awaited sequel to Sir Ridley Scott’s historical epic and has now revealed that production will begin later this year.
Asked about the film at the BAFTAs on Sunday, Paul told Deadline: “In the summer. I’m not sure when the exact start date is, but soon.
It was previously reported that the film had been delayed due to Paul’s stage commitments, as he is currently playing Stan Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire in London’s West End.
Specific details about the film remain a closely guarded secret, but it has been confirmed that Paul will take on the role of Lucius, the son of Connie Nielsen’s character Lucilla, and Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus from the original film.
Russell Crowe ruled out returning as Maximus Decimus Meridius in the project, which is due for a 2024 release with Scott returning as director, explaining that it won’t be a “direct sequel” to the Oscar-winning original.
The 58-year-old star said on the Fitzy and Wippa podcast: ‘Yeah, we had dinner and talked about it and all that. So I kind of know how it’s shaping the story.

‘But yeah, if you remember, there was a kid who wanted to beat the Gladiator, which leads to the ‘My name is’ speech.
‘So that young man has grown up, and is now the Emperor.
‘I don’t know what else is going on at the time, so that’s the idea.
‘So it’s not a new version. And it’s not a direct sequel. It’s not like the day after, you know, 30 years later or something.
