Sky Sports column by Paul Merson has revealed he thinks Liverpool have every chance of winning the Premier League because of their impressive forwards.

Merson praises the side's range of attackers, with five goal strikers in Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

“No other team has that and that's why Liverpool has every chance to go all out in the race for the Premier League title.”

Liverpool are currently first in the league and want to grab important points when they host Manchester United at home on Sunday.

With the club having scored 36 goals so far this season, Salah has contributed an impressive 11 goals and seven assists, making him the league's second-highest scorer behind Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

The former Arsenal and Aston Villa midfielder suggests no other team comes close to Liverpool when it comes to scoring goals, including Manchester City – who are more reliant on Haaland alone than a combination of strikers.

Merson wrote: 'I feel sorry for Salah. I really don't think he gets the credit he deserves for what he has done and is doing at Liverpool.

Having scored 200 times for Liverpool as their first-choice right winger, Salah is one of five goalscoring forwards in Klopp's squad.

'Everyone tells me Bukayo Saka is one of the best wingers in the world, but when he plays in exactly the same position as Salah he doesn't come anywhere close to his numbers.

On title holders Manchester City: 'We talk about Jack Grealish and Phil Foden, great footballers, but they won't score as much as Salah combined.

With Liverpool currently in first place in the league, the title race is gearing up for a four-way sprint with rivals Manchester City, Aston Villa and Arsenal.

Merson discussed the title race in the new year: 'City can win thirteen games on the trot after Christmas, no problem. No other team can do that. That's why Man City are still favorites.
