Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy tried to slip under the radar as they left a restaurant in Beverly Hills on Monday evening.

The Beatles legend, 81, treated his wife of 13 years, 64, to an intimate dinner at Italian eatery Funke.

After their meal, the couple tried to find a quiet exit by discreetly leaving through the back entrance before they were caught.

Paul cut a demure figure in a black patterned jumper layered over a white shirt, with a navy blue jacket on top.

While Nancy complemented her husband in her own navy blue jacket, decorated with fringes.

His V12 Lamborghini 400GT was one of only 247 produced and was offered for sale in 2018 for £400,000, although it was never confirmed to have been sold.

It is also said that Paul owned a 1989 Ford Bronco SUV and a hybrid Lexus LS 60, while his very first car was a Ford Consul Classic, which he bought just two years after The Beatles formed.
