‘I sometimes think that when he steps in with his left foot and puts balls into the box, they are not great.

‘But as a world-class player who scores goals and makes things happen, I think so.’

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has scored 209 goals for Liverpool in 340 appearances.

Only Ian Rush, Roger Hunt, Gordon Hodgson and Billy Liddell have found the net for the Reds more often in the club’s history.

During his time at Liverpool, Salah won the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup and two League Cups.

The 31-year-old’s current contract at Anfield runs until the summer of 2025.

Liverpool have already won the Carabao Cup this season and are keen to end Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge with more silverware.

The Reds currently sit second in the Premier League, while behind leaders Arsenal on goal difference.
