Summer Monteys-Fullam, Paul Hollywood’s ex, has revealed that she underwent exploratory surgery after a cyst burst in her ovary, leaving her in excruciating pain.
The former barmaid, 27, took to Instagram to reveal the health news and explained the procedure she had undergone.
She told followers that the cyst had filled a sac behind her uterus with fluid that needed to be drained.
Summer added that doctors at Gloucester Royal were concerned that her ovary had twisted and would die, but all went well with the operation.
The beauty revealed she was on her way to recovery and ready to go home and get back to work after spending three days and two nights in the hospital.

Before the surgery, she posted on her Instagram story a picture of herself making a peace sign and wrote, “Hey guys I’m going to surgery now, I’ll update you all when I’m on the other side.”
Summer dated Paul after his 20-year marriage to his wife Alex ended in 2017 and saw him until August 2019.
However, Alex later claimed that Paul’s relationship with Summer started before they broke up – something Summer has always vehemently denied.
Alex lashed out at Paul last year, claiming their marriage was “over-seasoned with extramarital affairs.”
The TV show judge previously admitted she cheated on Alex with chef Marcela Valladolid, 43, in 2013, and Alex, who shares a teenage son with Paul, insisted she’s finally happy being single, but said some people have trouble believing that to be true.
She wrote on Instagram, “It’s taken me a while to get here and it hasn’t been easy, but I love the woman I am today.
‘I know all too well that not every marriage/partnership is a recipe for happiness and success.

“My own marriage was over-spiced with extra marital affairs for my taste and so I opted out and opted for the single menu instead. It wasn’t easy and it took some getting used to.
“At first I wasn’t even sure if I liked it, but when I found my self-confidence, my freedom and myself after so long, I discovered that it’s really not a cliché to say that happiness really comes from within.”
She added, “I still get the occasional well-intentioned comment — that I’ll be “picked up soon,” like a grocery store meal deal. People don’t like to believe that a woman can be happier on her own.’

Alex divorced Paul over his affair with Marcela who was working on the American version of Bake Off.
They got back together but eventually went their separate ways in 2017, with Alex citing infidelity as the reason for the split.
