Paul Hollywood has lived up to his name after revealing his pal Blake Lively ‘texted’ him to catch up on family life with Ryan Reynolds.
The Great British Bake Off judge, 58, struck up an unlikely friendship with Hollywood star Blake, 37, last year after revealing she and Ryan were fans of the show.
Speak with The times On Tuesday, Paul opened up about his bond with the actress: “I have a lot of time for Blake.
“She texts every now and then, just to keep up with what she’s been up to, what Ryan’s up to, and that’s wonderful because regardless of their jobs, they’re just a normal family, mom and dad to some great children. They are very nice people.’
He also mentioned other famous Bake Off fans and revealed that Hugh Jackman, Michael J Fox and Lynda Carter have all come out and said they love the show.
Kylie Jenner also recently shared a video of herself watching Bake Off on a plane, revealing it was her favorite show, but Paul admitted he had no idea who she was.

As a friendship struck in June last year, self-confessed Bake Off superfans Blake and Ryan, 48, posed for photos with judges Paul and Prue Leith during a trip to Britain.
Blake got cozy with Paul in a photo shared to his Instagram, with Paul even joking that she had to replace his co-judge Prue, 84.
He captioned his post, writing: ‘Sorry Prue, Blake (@blakelively) took your place… welcome to cake corner Blake #legendinthetent #getbaking’
The Gossip Girl star looked radiant in a black and white polka dot dress as she beamed at the camera while lovingly touching Paul’s arm – leaving fans hoping Paul’s joke was true.

To which Blake replied, “Don’t talk about it. Here we go, Betty Booze, which I just launched using all my own recipes, and I’d love to hear your professional opinion, if you don’t mind.’
Paul opened one of the drinks as Blake put more boxes in his fridge in the kitchen and referred to the fact that Blake doesn’t drink but has been making cocktail cans when he asked, “I thought you don’t drink alcohol.”
To which Blake jokingly replied, “Oh, I don’t drink alcohol, I eat it. Bourbon and whipped cream, sherry vinaigrette. It’s really hard to find something I cook without alcohol. Do you like it?’
